Beckett is sitting in boarding waiting for a foster home. Beckett is a great dog with so much potential. He is a diamond in the rough. His good qualities - besides his good looks, that is:
He is smart and learns quickly.
He loves to cuddle.
He is good with other dogs and loves to play.
He is housetrained and crate trained.
As much as it pains us to admit it, Beckett does have a few flaws:
He is really crazy about food and can be a bit possessive of food and things associated with food (yes, believe it - like the dishwasher)
He doesn't like strangers, especially men poking him (ok, how does?)
He thinks cats are appetivers (sure, not everyone thinks this is a bad thing but we do)
He occasionally mistakes a small yappy dog for a cat. (see above).
With the right attitude, a little work and help from a professional trainer, Beckett can be helped to overcome his possessive guarding ways. The problem is that he can't start working with a trainer (provided by Homeward Trails) until he is placed in a foster home.
Please consider helping this good dog become a great dog. Please consider fostering Beckett.
